The primary goal of the Electronic Journal of Literacy through Science (EJLTS) is to address access and equity within science education. Through EJLTS, we are seeking solutions to deal with literacy for first and second language learners, and simultaneously providing access to science. 

The Electronic Journal of Literacy through Science (EJLTS) will be devoted to addressing science education by focusing on "Literacy through Science" in the areas of:

1. Language Development (Reading and Writing) and Science Education
2. Bilingualism and Science Education
3. Scientific Literacy for All

In creating this journal we are bringing together two education communities. It is our hope that dialogues across the science and literacy education communities will lead to "scientific literacy for all".

EJLTS is pleased to bring quality-refereed articles to its readership at no cost. This would not be possible without the support we have received from the section editors and reviewers for our journal.We would like to invite our readers to submit their work for review.
