Call for Papers
Announcing...
a call for papers from the editors of the Electronic Journal of Literacy Through Science.
The EJLTS is now housed at UC Davis, under the direction of co-editors Barbara Merino (UC Davis) and Lorie Hammond (CSU Sacramento). The journal remains focused on the intersection of language and science education. We continue to publish peer-reviewed studies which reflect both classroom and research perspectives. We welcome the work of teachers, graduate students, and colleagues in the field.
The first volume came out at UC Davis in August, 2007. Subsequent volumes have been posted in complete forms in June of each year, with articles posted throughout the academic year as these go through the review process. This policy has been changed so that all articles will be posted in two installments: one in winter and the second in summer. We invite you to submit articles on general topics related to language and science including language development and science education, access to scientific literacy (equity, diversity and multiculturalism), urban/rural education, and food, health and society. We encourage submissions targeting two key themes: teacher research and teacher education in science and language.
Fall/Spring, volume 9 - To be posted in winter and summer of 2010.
Theme: Teacher Research and Teacher Education
-Submissions for winter uploading due by November 15th.
All submission should be sent via email to the editors and our editorial assistant. Submissions should be in APA format and sent as a Microsoft Word document for electronic handling.
We look forward to hearing from you in the future,
Barbara Merino
