Volume 7 (Fall '07 - Spring '08)
Dear Colleagues,
We have accepted the position of co-editors for the Electronic Journal of Literacy through Science (EJLTS). First, we want to acknowledge the pioneer work and years of service to the science and language education community of the founding co-editors and publishers of ELJTS: Professors Sharon Parsons and Rosalinda Quintanar of San Jose State University.
We have launched the new site in the School of Education at UC Davis. All archived articles are now available. EJLTS previously published articles on an ongoing basis as these became available after completing the review process. We are featuring the last installment of articles under this policy this summer, with a set of articles becoming available starting June 30th .
We plan to publish the first full issue under the new editorship this coming November. The journal remains focused on the intersection of language and science education. We will continue to publish peer-reviewed studies which reflect both classroom and research perspectives. We welcome the work of teachers, graduate students, and colleagues in the field. We encourage the use of features unique to an electronic format including images and streaming video and audio when appropriate.
Publication guidelines can be accessed at the EJLTS website (http://ejlts.ucdavis.edu). Please e-mail inquiries and manuscripts to the journal editorial assistant at seghbali@ucdavis.edu .
Sincerely,
Barbara Merino and Lorie Hammond
Co-editors, EJLTS
